| It is a salt of melamine and cyanuric acid, above 320 C degree, it undergoes endothermic decomposition to melamine and cyanuric acid and acting as a heat sink in the process. The vaporised melamine acts as an inert gas source diluting the oxygen and the fuel gases present at the point of combustion. The cyanuric acid acts to decomposed the polymer thus rapidly removing it from the combustion source. |
